There are many different types of universities in Poland. Find out about the different types of universities the polish academic system has in offer and which ones would suit you best.
Shorter, focused on the practice, international. The traditional Polish degrees like licencjat and magister, will be substituted, as a part of the Bologna Process and by 2010, by the standardized European ones: Bachelor and Master. Of course, each of the already existing degrees has its advantages and disadvantages.
Naturally, in the Study part you will find not only information which you need to be able to choose the right university, but also helpful hints and information related to this topic. When does the semester begin and when does it end? Which grading system is used at a given university? Will my degree and my certificates be recognized abroad?
Before you can start your desired study, you must, however, overcome the last hurdle: the admission procedure, which may turn out to be a complex thing. You may forget about the simple "sign up" from yesterday. For some degree programs there are restrictions on admission and therefore you must apply at the chosen university. More and more colleges, however, don´t choose the students based on their grade average but take into account also other criteria, like practical experience, command of foreign languages or special individual qualifications.
